Mission Statement
Northeastern University’s STEM Talent Expansion Program–University Partnership (NU STEP-UP) aims to increase the number of students receiving degrees in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) disciplines.

STEP-UP, an NSF-funded project, is a collaboration between Northeastern University’s Science, Engineering and Mathematics departments, two NSF-supported Research Centers (Bernard M. Gordon Center for Subsurface Sensing and Imaging Systems and The Center for High Rate Nanomanufacturing) and three Boston area Community Colleges: MassBay Community College, Middlesex Community College and Northern Essex Community College.

Events and Highlights

August 6, 2009
The Center for STEM Education hosted the final presentations for the Research Experiences for Teachers Program
. This year, four Community College faculty participated in the summer research program: Paul Chanley (Northern Essex Community College), Nora Linskey (Middlesex Community College), Sam Perez (MassBay Community College), and John Savage (Middlesex Community College).
