December 2007 - RE-SEED Meeting
On December 11th, RE-SEED will be holding its 14th annual meeting in Raytheon Amphitheater (Egan Building) on Northeastern Campus. The keynote speaker will be Dr. Phillip Sadler, Director of the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics Science Education.

September 2007 - Kickoff Event
On October 15th, the Center for STEM Education will be having its "official" kickoff celebration. The event will be held in Raytheon Amphitheater from 3:00-4:30.

August 2007 - Additional Funding
The Center for STEM Education receives additional funding to maintain the RET site for at least 3 more years.

Also, the Center has received funding from NSF to lead the NU STEP-UP initiative. The Center will work with various STEM departments on campus and with three Massachusetts Community Colleges on the project: Massbay Community College, Middlesex Community College, and Northern Essex Community College.

Summer 2007 - Programs End
The Center would like to thank all staff, faculty, funders, and participants involved in the running of three successful summer programs: The ExxonMobil Bernard Harris Summer Science Program, The Research Experiences for Teachers (RET) program, and the Young Scholars Program (YSP).
