Highlights

The program will provide participants with an opportunity to live on the Northeastern University main campus and to engage in hands on activities in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). Students will live in a Northeastern facility for the two-week period (except for the weekend of Friday July 11th – Sunday, July 13th) with other participants and participate in both academic and social activities through classroom work, field excursions and interactive demonstrations.

Who can apply?
Students who will be in the 6th, 7th, or 8th grade for the school year 2008-2009 and are interested in science and math are eligible and encouraged to apply. Students must live on campus from July 6th- July 11th and July 13th –July 18th.

How do I apply?
Students should print and complete the 2008 Application, making sure to answer each question carefully and the student’s parent(s)/guardian(s) should fill out the contact information. The Request for Records form must be sent to your school so that we receive your transcript by the deadline date, April 30*. Lastly, your math and science teacher must fill out a recommendation for you on the designated forms.

Is there a fee?
No, all expenses (including food and field excursions) will be covered for participants.
